For the Leapin’ Lindy edition of 2025 we once again have an amazing line up.
Breonna has been dancing since her childhood. Some of her fondest childhood memories are dancing in the kitchen with her siblings to top 40 radio while dinner was being prepared.
It wasn’t until Breonna moved to New Orleans, where she experienced her first taste of live traditional jazz music, that she realized her affinity for the living art form of jazz dance! She has danced and studied Lindy Hop, along with Vernacular Jazz at many different festivals and workshops around the world. As an emerging New Orleans based dance instructor, she values the connections between music, history, and authentic self expression through movement.

Hornsgatan Ramblers is a jazz octet from Stockholm Sweden. Their emphasis is on thirties and fourties swing, striving after the sound of the small bands of giants, such as Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Benny Goodman. This paired with the bands' own adaptations and arrangements of big band originals has given the Ramblers a sound of their own.
By now their music has brought them to countries such as Korea, China, Greece, Italy, Germany, Finland, Turkey, Denmark, Lithuania, UK, Belgium, Netherlands and beyond. And of course all over Sweden.
The band was started in the autumn of 2009, when a few swing dancers in Stockholm decided to form a band and to start playing the music that they loved to dance to. The band name comes from a street in the neighbourhood in Stockholm where the world famous Chicago Swing Dance Studio is located – and in which the very first rehearsals took place.
Several of the band members also dance in the renowned swing dance company The Hot Shots, teach swing dancing, and have won and judged numerous dance contests all over the world.

He is dedicated to preserving the roots of jazz by blending it with traditional Mozambican dance forms, creating a unique fusion that celebrates both African heritage and the rich history of jazz.
For Carlos, dance is not just movement—it's an expression of music and rhythm. He brings this philosophy into his performances and teaching, sharing his energy and passion with his students and audiences alike. He inspires others to connect deeply with the music, to move with intention, and to embrace the joy and freedom that dance offers.

As a teacher, he loves to share historical and cultural context, weaving this into how he explains my approach to movement. His highest goal is helping you to develop their own approach. He is currently studying house, and continually growing in many street styles. In dance, he values lineage, authenticity, community, partnership and fun. He strives to incorporate these elements in his classes as well and is eager to collaborate with everyone!
Sandy and Fancy are two amazing dancers, originally from the US and now living in Barcelona. Although they have only recently started teaching classes together, their combined energy and humour are guaranteed to make their classes an extraordinary experience.
Sandy, an electrically spontaneous Cajun, was born and raised in Louisiana dancing in the swamps to Cajun and Zydeco music, and it was when she moved to Barcelona that she started swing dancing. With her former teaching experience and love for foreign languages, she knew how to make classes fun and easy to follow and quickly became one of the top Shag teachers in Europe. She is a founding member of the Barcelona Shag Society, which aims to bring Collegiate Shag dance and Black swing dance culture to the forefront of Barcelona's dance scene.
Hailing from Los Angeles, California, Fancy (a birth name) fell in love with Lindy and Shag in 2008, with Balboa trailing not far behind. She’s been hooked ever since, constantly endeavoring to improve her technique on a never-ending quest for connection, improvisational freedom in social dancing and the true jitterbug spirit. She has performed, competed in and taught Lindy, Balboa and Shag all over the world, was inducted into the California Swing Dance Hall of Fame in 2014 and is a five-time winner of the National Jitterbug Championships in the shag division. She loves to dance with new people and beginners, so be sure to ask her to dance!
