At Swingmachine Bern, we are committed to creating and sustaining an open and welcoming dance community that accepts people of all backgrounds and has a zero-tolerance policy for any form of harassment. We recognise that people have different expectations and boundaries in social situations, both on and off the dance floor; therefore, to ensure that our community is a fun and safe environment, we ask that all our members, instructors, staff, and event attendees adhere to the Code of Conduct.

Leapin’ Lindy is organised by Swingmachine Bern.
The organising committee changes every few years and the festival changes along with it. Anja, Christa & Florian have been organizing it for 3 years now.
We are enthusiastic dancers who spend our free time on the dance floor. To bring together other dancers, we also spend our free time organizing bands and teachers, booking venues and accommodation, balancing the budget, taking care of your registration and finding other volunteers to help us create an amazing festival for you. If you have any questions, you can contact us at info@leapinlindy.ch.
The first Leapin’ Lindy happened in February 2004, a leap year. Even though the festival takes place each year and not only every leap year, the name has stuck ever since. Leapin’ Lindy has become one of Switzerland’s biggest swing dance events, attracting swing dancers from all over Switzerland and from abroad. Currently, we offer workshops in Lindy Hop, Collegiate Shag and Authentic Jazz.
